USE CASE OVERVIEW

The Booth Navigator was already used for orientation at the Hannover Messe 2023. The B12 Group developed a three-dimensional map of the Siemens trade fair stand, which enables trade fair visitors to call up the location and information about trade fair stations of their interest via various channels, such as dedicated steles or their own mobile device. Thanks to continuous further development, the tool now offers new functions at almost every major trade fair, such as predefined tours to thematically related stations, a detailed product search or information about satellite stands or presentations.

OUR PROCEDURE

The 3D data of the map is prepared and integrated for WebGL integration within our Studio B12 group. On this basis, position data of the individual trade fair stations are placed on the map and linked with information stored in the Headless CMS. The customer can maintain and edit this information directly and easily in the B12 CMS or via connected tools such as Siemens OneCMS. The Booth Navigator is integrated into the trade fair players on the trade fair stand and into the corresponding Siemens trade fair websites. This allows visitors to access the information from their own mobile device as well as at the relevant stations.

RESULTS

Within a year, the Booth Navigator has developed from the idea of a simple overview map into a powerful and visually appealing digital tool that is used at numerous trade fairs and is popular with many trade fair users in the self experience and by staff at the information stand.

STATUS QUO

Since Hannover Messe 2023, the Booth Navigator has been used at eight major trade fairs. What it has offered trade fair visitors since then goes far beyond mere orientation at the stand. The integrated tours offer a pre-selection of relevant topics and shorten the search for specific stations. The Booth Navigator serves as a basis for accessing extensive information material as well as a contact platform with Siemens specialists. There are still some interesting developments on the horizon, such as the planning of personalised tours in the run-up to the trade fair.
