HOLOBOX CASE

Challenges

Tight time frame

Only five weeks for the entire show development.

Virtual tests

No holobox available for testing, therefore virtual coordination of perspectives and lighting conditions.

Synchronisation

Precise synchronisation of clips required for holographic effects.

Creativity under pressure

Close collaboration and fast, innovative solutions were required to fulfil the high demands.

USE CASE OVERVIEW

The Siemens Holobox project was part of the EMO presentation, where the first holistic digital twin for machine tools was unveiled. The Holoboxes used transparent LCD screens to create optical depth and visualise the merging of real and digital elements.

OUR PROCEDURE

In just five weeks, we developed the Holobox technology in close collaboration with partners. Without physical testing facilities, perspectives and lighting conditions had to be virtually harmonised. The precise synchronisation of the holographic content was crucial.

RESULTS

The presentation at the EMO was a success, the holoboxes fascinated the audience. The collaboration under pressure not only confirmed our technical expertise, but also our ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.

STATUS QUO

The holoboxes were successfully integrated into the presentation and created an impressive holographic illusion. Close teamwork and creative problem solving led to a successful presentation under high time pressure.
