Challenges

Complex 3D integration

Development of an interactive 3D city with seamless navigation.

Information integration

Integration of in-depth content and multi-layered information levels.

Continuous updates

Regular adaptation of the platform for new content and functions.

Year-round project

Conversion of the Landscape from an event tool to a permanent solution.

USE CASE OVERVIEW

The Siemens Landscape is a sophisticated, interactive 3D platform that represents a virtual city in which each building represents a specific theme from the Siemens universe. This three-dimensional cityscape allows users to navigate directly to in-depth information by simply selecting a building. The aim was to create a platform that is not only used during special events, but becomes a permanent solution that is accessible at all times and is continuously updated.

OUR PROCEDURE

Close collaboration between various specialised partners was necessary to develop the Siemens Landscape and establish it in the long term. The focus was on designing the complex 3D environment and implementing the deeply integrated information layers via the B12 CMS web player. A key aspect was the seamless integration of in-depth content and the creation of a multi-layered information architecture that allows users to navigate intuitively and comprehensively. The aim was to develop the platform from a pure event tool into a permanent, year-round solution that provides relevant information at all times.

RESULTS

The continuous development of Siemens Landscape has made it possible to regularly update the platform with new content and functions. This ensures that users always have access to the latest information and solutions. The flexible and scalable architecture of the platform has allowed it to be transformed from an event-based tool to a year-round resource that goes far beyond its original scope.

STATUS QUO

Today, Siemens Landscape is an integral part of Siemens’ digital ecosystem and has evolved from an event tool to a permanent, dynamic platform. It now provides year-round access to relevant information and remains current through regular updates. This transformation reflects the Landscape’s successful transition from a temporary trade fair application to a long-term tool that is continuously evolving to meet growing demands.
