Pick-up Web App

USE CASE OVERVIEW

Buying a new vehicle is undoubtedly an exciting experience. To make the inevitable wait until vehicle handover more pleasant and increase anticipation, the Autostadt in Wolfsburg has introduced the pick-up web app. This app offers customers picking up their new vehicle at the Autostadt personalised access to exciting insights into their new vehicle as well as all the important information for the day of collection. The pick-up web app was launched on 1 February 2024 as part of the digitalisation of the Autostadt and provides users with a digital vehicle folder with comprehensive vehicle details, technical data, assistance systems and practical tips.

OUR PROCEDURE

The implementation of the pick-up web app began as a pilot project in close cooperation with Autostadt. Our team developed an application that enables seamless integration with the B12 Headless CMS. This connection ensures that all data from various interfaces is precisely tailored to the respective vehicle of the buyer. By utilising existing data from other projects, we were able to provide an efficient and customised solution. The app offers functions such as a digital vehicle folder, a comprehensive checklist for the pick-up day, detailed arrival information and a precise schedule. It also includes an overview map of the Autostadt with all the exhibition areas, pavilions, restaurants, cafés and shops.

RESULTS

The pick-up web app is designed as a responsive web application and offers users simple and intuitive access to all important information about their new vehicle and the pick-up day. The app has already proven to be a valuable tool to shorten the waiting time until vehicle handover and increase the anticipation of buyers. Through user feedback, we are continuously working on the further development of the app to further improve the user experience and add new features.
