Smart Production Solutions (SPS)
USE CASE OVERVIEW
SPS – Smart Production Solutions – is one of the leading international trade fairs for smart and digital automation. Every year, it brings together experts and companies from all over the world to present the latest developments and technologies in the field of industrial automation. Siemens plays a prominent role at SPS and is by far the largest exhibitor at the trade fair. With a dedicated hall used exclusively for Siemens presentations, the company sets new standards and impresses with innovative highlight showcases that shape the future of automation.
Siemens regularly uses the SPS to present important innovations that have an impact far beyond the trade fair. In recent years, pioneering developments such as the trade fair navigator, enhanced podcast functions and optimised presentations on the exhibition stand have been introduced. These innovations emphasise Siemens’ commitment to continually setting new standards in presentation technology and enhancing the trade show experience.
At SPS, Siemens will be presenting innovative solutions and technologies in close cooperation with the various Digital Industries (DI) Business Units. These are staged as highlight showcases and set decisive accents at the trade fair. The preparation process includes the creation and filling of content for the web and trade fair player, the Siemens Landscape and the Booth Navigator. During the trade fair, Siemens supports over 100 active devices, which are integrated into the comprehensive Siemens trade fair infrastructure and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

OUR PROCEDURE
Preparation for the SPS usually begins two to three months before the trade fair. In this phase, the focus is on coordinating development requests and planning the content structure. Thanks to the established interfaces to other Siemens solutions, we can significantly reduce the workload for our customers. For example, the content structure is generated automatically and dialogue stations and machines already stored for other purposes can be easily integrated into the Booth Navigator.

RESULTS
The B12 Headless CMS with web and trade fair player has established itself as an indispensable tool at the SPS, both within the Siemens Landscape and on the event page of the trade fair and in the Booth Navigator. A key success factor is the unique data maintenance, which is played out in all relevant media and thus enables consistent and effective communication. Siemens can also rely on an experienced and competent team that ensures the timely and high-quality realisation of all tasks. As a result, Siemens is always able to impress at SPS with impressive and innovative presentations in its own hall.
